Former Sonny and Cher home sells for $90 million (PHOTOS)

The 10-acre Owlwood Estate was once home to Sonny and Cher, Tony Curtis, Superior Oil Founder William Keck and 20th Century Fox Co-Founder Joseph Schenck.

Holmby Hills’ legendary Owlwood Estate, once home to Hollywood celebrities such as Sonny and Cher and Tony Curtis, has sold for $90 million.

The 10-acre property at 141 S. Carolwood Dr. features a 12,200-square-foot residence and was sold to Sturmer Pippin Investments LLC on Sept. 16.

The estate had been offered as a pocket listing for about $150 million, reported the Los Angeles Times.

The sale marks one of the highest-valued residential real estate transactions in Los Angeles County to date, as it did not include any extra considerations such as furnishings and artwork, according to Douglas Elliman Real Estate, the brokerage that represented the sellers.
